Link Between Extrasystole And Stress

 Extrasystole, also called premature heartbeats, is one of the most common types of arrhythmia. It is defined by premature onset of one or two heart contractions. Extrasystole comes from outside the impulse-generating tissue located in the sinus node (the upper part of the wall of the right atrium of the heart) and spreads through the cardiac muscle in between the normal impulses, thereby causing premature ventricular contractions.                            Extrasystole is not dangerous and may occur in absolutely healthy individuals. This heart rhythm disorder is diagnosed in 70% of patients, and is highly unlikely to bring any serious health problems to most of them. However, it can be a risk factor for patients with severe cardiovascular disorders, such as myocarditis, cardiomyopathy, valve defects and coronary heart disease.
